Elevated Work Platform (MEWP): Boom / Scissor

Operating an Elevated Work Platform (MEWP) is a highly skilled job that can be very dangerous if not performed properly. The following are a few hazards that are associated with operating these machines.

  • Falls from heights
  • Tip-over / Collapse
  • Objects falling from lifts
  • Ejections from lift platforms
  • Electrocutions

Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWPs) support many trades that require work at height. Our Elevated Work Platform (EWP), also known as Aerial Work Platform (AWP), training is suitable for new operators and experienced workers seeking recertification. Safety Training Okanagan provides practical training in Kelowna and throughout the Okanagan for individuals and workplace groups.
